MURDER IN THE BAYOU

Five-part true crime docu-series, MURDER IN THE BAYOU, will premiere only on Stan on 14 September and is from director Matthew Galkin (Kevorkian) and author Ethan Brown – whose New York Times Best Selling book Murder In The Bayou is the inspiration for the series. The docu-series investigates the unsolved murders of eight women whose bodies were discovered between 2005 and 2009 in drainage canals and on desolate back roads in and around the town of Jennings, Louisiana in rural Jefferson Davis Parish.

In examining the lives of the young female victims – and the violent sex and drug trade they were a part of – the series uncovers the secrets of this troubled town lurking just below the surface. These discoveries lead to even more shocking revelations in the “Jeff Davis 8” case, exposing corruption, bad actors and institutional injustices that have left the citizens of Jennings still searching for truth.

WORK IN PROGRESS

The new half-hour comedy series created by Chicago improv mainstays Abby McEnany and Tim Mason, and co-written by Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix, Sense8), will premiere December 9, 2019 only on Stan.

A funny and uniquely human comedy, WORK IN PROGRESS  features McEnany as a 45-year-old self-identified fat, queer dyke from Chicago whose misfortune and despair unexpectedly lead her to a vibrantly transformative relationship. Chicago-based performer Karin Anglin co-stars alongside Celeste Pechous, with Julia Sweeney (Saturday Night LiveShrill) appearing in a crucial role as herself. Theo Germaine (The Politician) will also appear as a guest star.
