Activision broke some exciting news for PlayStation 4 owners at Gamescom. You can download and play the Modern Warfare Alpha on the 24th of August.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of this year’s most anticipated games. Fans were excited to hear about the new game especially after rumours started circulating about things were falling apart at Sledgehammer games. Development for the next game was reportedly in shambles and Activision scrapped the game. This could have been the result of two of Sledgehammer key players leaving. Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield were some of the most notable names at SledgeHammer until February 2018. They also played a huge part in Call of Duties success and had worked on the franchise for 9 years. Their departure was described as ‘a drastic shake-up in leadership’ which left the rest of the team without vision or drive.

Many have called for a boycott of the game after this grim scene but our very own contributor, Erina Rose, was not offended by the scene and called the outrage irrational.
