The future off the Matrix franchise seemed foggy for fans a week ago, but today Keanu has confirmed that there is a sequel on the way…and he’s in it!
This is absolutely amazing news for fans, because this confirms something that would have been make our break for the sequel; the Wachowskis are writing and directing, and this a true sequel, not a reboot or a re-imagining.

How do we know this? Last year, when interviewed, Keanu explicitly stated that he would not work on the Matrix 4 unless the Wachowskis had full creative control. So I can confidently say that we are getting a proper sequel; a continuation of the Neo & Trinity saga. Thank you Warner Bros for listening to us! O happy days!
Looks like Keanu Reeves is a busy man these days with John Wick Chapter 4, Bill and Ted Face the Music, the Matrix 4 and now the Fast and the Furious. Our source close to Keanu even disclosed that he might be in an upcoming highly anticipated video game. We wonder what that could be?

Fans believe that the new Matrix movie may in fact focus primarily on Trinity. It is largely speculated that she is the one, and not Neo. I guess we’ll have to wait to find out. Shooting will most likely commence later this year or early 2020.
