Letitia Wright will replace Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther 2

Disney/Marvel have reportedly decided that Shuri (Letitia Wright) will replace T’Challa in Black Panther 2 after Chadwick Boseman lost his battle with cancer.

Boseman’s family announced the untimely passing of the Black Panther actor late last month. The 43-year-old actor passed quietly with his family at his side on Friday, August 28th. Sources claim that Disney/Marvel have already replaced him in the Black Panther sequel.

Chadwick Boseman was the perfect casting option as King T’Challa in Marvel’s Black Panther. The film crushed Captain Marvel in ticket and media sales and fans were hyped to see Boseman return as T’Challa in the sequel.

Sadly Boseman died late August from losing a 4-year battle with colon cancer. Despite his suffering, Boseman still found time to shoot high impact roles like T’Challa in Black Panther.

Shuri is the new Black Panther and fans are not happy about it

Shuri (played by Letitia Wright) will become the Black Panther replacement in the sequel.

Kevin Feigi claims he had no idea that Chadwick Boseman had cancer yet still the producers planned to replace him.

Chadwick didn’t want to commit.

Disney offered Chadwick a three film contract which he turned down. He was approached, again, in early 2019 but turned down the contract for the sequel,” a source close to Marvel studios told us.

The sources claims a corroborated by a a report that leaked in February that stated that Disney/Marvel had reportedly decided to go ahead and replace Chadwick Boseman with Letitia Wright.

Shuri (played by Letitia Wright) does take over as Black Panther in the comic book series so she’s the most logical choice moving forward.

Rumours suggest that the sequel will be based on Black Panther #2 graphic novel by Reggie Hudlin. In the sequel Shuri will head to Limbo to save T’Challa, but arrives there only to discover his lifeless body. She then heads to the USA to report the tragic news to the rest of the Avengers and must then prove her worthiness of becoming the next Black Panther.

Although they’ve not started filming, Black Panther 2 is till scheduled to release in late 2022 with Shuri (Letitia Wright) as the replacement.
