Bruno Mars and Karol G’s viral “wedding” photos come with a rather important missing detail: they are from a music video. The fireworks are lovely. The marriage announcement needs considerably more work.
A post from the Karol G fan account @cairo1311 on X declares, in Spanish, that the two singers have just married. It pairs that claim with romantic images of the stars together beneath fireworks. When POPTOPIC checked on 2 October, the post displayed more than 12,000 likes and 1.6 million views.
However, those pictures show a scene from Mars’ official Dance With Me video, featuring Karol G. They do not establish that the pair married in real life.
Where the Bruno Mars and Karol G photos actually come from
The giveaway is available for anyone to watch. At around 2:55 in the official video, the two embrace beneath fireworks, with Karol G wearing white. The setting and embrace match the images attached to the viral post.
As Rolling Stone Australia’s release coverage explains, the video follows a romantic storyline involving a phone-booth serenade, a balcony and a reunion. It is a miniature love story built around a song from The Romantic. The ending belongs to that story.
Great chemistry. Insufficient wedding evidence.
You can see why the pictures travel. Remove the song, add an announcement and suddenly a carefully staged romantic finale looks like celebrity news. A white dress and fireworks do quite a lot of the heavy lifting.
Some replies beneath the post ask whether the images are from a clip; others point out the music-video context. That confusion is the useful part to clear up. The displayed view count does not tell us how many people believed the caption, and the post alone cannot tell us its author’s intent.
Nor do we need to investigate either singer’s private life to check these particular pictures. Their source is right there on the official artist channel.
So enjoy the glamour, the chemistry and Bruno committing wholeheartedly to a grand romantic gesture. Just keep the missing context attached when sharing it: this is Dance With Me, and these frames are not proof of a real wedding.
