Rick and Morty co-creator teased his new HULU original Sci-Fi adult animation ‘Solar Opposites’ on Twitter, but as of yet, there’s no word when at where it will stream in Australia.
If you love — or even like — Rick and Morty than you’ll be thrilled to know there is a similar style show coming exclusively to HULU in May, and it’s made by one of the show’s co-creators.
However, there is complete radio silence on whether the show will be available to stream on Australia’s HULU counterpart, Stan.
The new adult animation by Rick and Morty co-creator and voice talent Justin Roiland looks like it is right up the alley for fans of his work.
Solar Opposites is about a family of aliens from a better world must who must take refuge in middle America; they disagree on whether Earth is awful or awesome.

Stan, in many regards, is the Australian version of HULU. Although they may not have the entire HULU original catalogue available to stream, the most popular shows usually make their way to the platform and vice versa.
Here is a small list of HULU originals that are exclusive to Stan in Australia:
- The Handmaid’s Tale
- Looking for Alaska
- Catch 22
- Veronica Mars
- UnREAL
- The Bisexual
- PEN15
- 11.26.63
On top of that, HULU and Stan also have similar deals with Fox, Starz, BBC, and Showtime. So, bar a few independently produced originals by HULU, both platforms largely share the same catalogue of content.

However, in some cases, depending on partnered exclusives, HULU originals will air exclusively on Foxtel; that is the case with Marvel Runaways.
So, will the Justin Roiland HULU original Solar Opposites stream on Stan? As of now, there has been now official announcement from HULU, but considering the popularity of Rick and Morty it is very likely.
When will Solar Opposites come to Australia? Well, it is set to premiere on HULU in the United States on the 8th of May, 2020, so there’s still plenty of time for Stan to make the announcement. We have reached out to Stan for a comment.
So will Justin Roiland’s new show Solar Opposites actually premiere on Stan in Australia? Considering Rick and Morty didn’t, we are very doubtful.
