Former MAFS participant Jessika Power told us that she was going to the hospital early Monday morning because she was in severe pain.

The 27-year-old reality TV star, who appeared on the last season of Married at First Sight, said she hasn’t been feeling well lately in a story she posted on Instagram and told her fans that she would be taking a break from social media.

A few hours later she appeared all dolled up, looking fresh as daisies and possible high on sedatives, letting her followers know that she had been diagnosed at her local hospital.

“Hey guys,” an exhausted Jessika greeted her fans on Instagram. “So, a lot of you have been asking why I have been MIA [Missing in Action] on my Instagram. I have been in hospital over the new year and I’m still not feeling 100%.”

Jessika Power explained that she hadn’t posted on her Instagram for awhile because she had been sick and in hospital over the new year and that she still was in ‘a lot of pain’ and that she’d be returning to hospital that day.

When she arrived she posted another video of her self and her beau — who was fast asleep on a chair beside her — on Instagram. “We are here,” she told her followers while panning the camera across the room.

Despite the fact that she was confined to a hospital bed on Monday morning, Jessika was still as bubbly as ever. “Clearly this is the best that I’ve ever looked,” she joked.

The reality TV star turned social media influencer revealed that the doctors believe that she might have appendicitis.

Jessika Power has appendicitis?

According to Health Direct Australia appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix, which is a thin pouch attached to the large intestine on the right side of the abdomen. It is usually about the size of a finger. The exact cause of appendicitis is not known, but it may be caused by food or faeces (poo) getting lodged in the appendix.

The most common treatment for appendicitis is surgery and antibiotics which means Jessika may need to go under the knife if she doesn’t feel better soon.

How do you get appendicitis?

The most common cause for appendicitis is poop blocking the appendix, meaning Jessika hasn’t been keeping regular. A much more serious cause is when there is something foreign, like cancer or a tumour, blocking the appendix. Let’s hope that it is the former of the two and that she just hasn’t been getting enough fiber in her diet.

This is not the first time Jessika Power has had problem with her appendix so she said “she was not surprised” that it was acting up again. “I’m going in for an ultrasound and hopefully then get it removed so I can go back to being happy Jess again,” she concluded in her Instagram story.

The Married at First Sight star, Jessika Power, should make a full recover, even after surgery, in a few short weeks as appendicitis is barely ever life-threatening. Make sure you leave a nice little ‘get well soon’ message in the comments below to brighten her week.
