Your guess is as good as ours, but we assume that it has something to do with our good relationship with the UK. Channel 4 has the rights to the series in the UK and was going to broadcast it in January, 2020, but fans were outraged so they pushed the release date forward to November 10th.

Or it could have just been waiting for classification by the Australian Government. Who knows.

The streaming page for Rick and Morty on Netflix has been updated and the premiere date shows December 22 and Netflix intend on releasing the 6 episodes that will be available on Netflix US simultaneously which means there will be plenty to binge right before Christmas.
