Zac Efron almost dead from Typhoid

Typhoid fever is a life-threatening infection caused by the bacterium Salmonella Typhi. It is usually spread through contaminated food or water. Once Salmonella Typhi bacteria are eaten or drunk, they multiply and spread into the bloodstream. You’re at risk of infection for consuming fine foods in Papua New Guinea due to the countries third-world status.

Efron tweeted a photo of himself in Papaua New Guinea on Monday saying that he was heading home “for the holidays with my friends and family.”

“Very thankful to everyone who has reached out,” the tweet read. “I did get sick in Papua New Guinea but I bounced back quick and finished an amazing 3 weeks in PNG.”

Papua New Guinea is a dangerous place

Zac Efron is very lucky to be alive and he’s probably have died if it wasn’t emergency services transporting him immediately to Brisbane hospital.

There are plenty of things that can kill you in Papua New Guinea: venomous spiders and snakes, dangerous terrain, exotic bacteria and diseases, and even indigenous tribes and cannibals.

The Korowai tribe is one of the last known cannibal tribes in the world. Because of the Korowai belief in evil spirits, it was necessary to kill and eat a person they believed had been taken over by a khakua, or demon.

There’s a black market in Papua New Guinea’s largest city, Port Morseby, that has been found to sell weapons, human organs, and living women and children. Fortunately, the authorities have shut it down and the market has been forced out off the city… but the country is still very dangerous for women.

A pig is worth more to Papua New Guinean men than a woman. “Killing a man’s woman can be forgiven, but if you kill his pig you have started a war.”

The New Zealand government issued a serious warning to all travellers considering a trip to PNG, “The law and order situation in Papua New Guinea continues to pose serious risks to travellers. Violent crime, including armed robbery, carjacking, home invasions and sexual assault, is common throughout the country, especially in urban areas such as Port Moresby, Lae and Mt Hagen.”

According to Deadline, the new adventure series, starring and executive produced by Efron, will send the actor “deep into the jungles of a remote, dangerous island to carve his own name in expedition history.” Efron will allegedly completely drop off the grid for 21 days trying to survive in the world’s most dangerous places.
