Earlier this morning TMZ confirmed that Kobe Bryant and four others died instantly in a terribly helicopter crash in Calabasas, but it was believed that he was survived by his wife Vanessa Laine Bryant and four daughters: Gianna, Natalia, Bianca, and Capri.
Sadly it has now been confirmed that Gigi Bryant, Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter and middle child, was among the 5 killed in Sunday’s crash.
Remembering Gianna Bryant
Gianna Maria Onore Bryant, known as Gigi to her friends, was born May 1, 2006 and was 13-years-old the day she passed. She followed in her father’s footsteps and wanted to become a basketball legend; she was an American basketball player who attends Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, California.
She discovered her love for basketball after her father took her to many of his professional games. They would often shoot around with the team in warm-ups.
