There are rumours floating around for some time now that EA’s Need For Speed game will rival Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series, but what does that mean? Could the next NFS be the next-generation NFS: Underground game we’ve all been waiting for? Imagine jacking cars, souping them up and then competing in pink-slip races against other players across massively open-world.
Fans have been itching for a proper sequel to Need for Speed: Underground for quite some time. Need For Speed: Underground 2 was a smashing success and, according to Gamespot, managed to outsell Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for a couple of weeks back in 2014. But since then EA have failed to properly restore the franchises to its former glory, but hopefully that might change with the next game… and, fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long to find out. The announcement will be live on YouTube in a few hours!
I guess only time will tell. We’ve got to wait 5 short hours until Electronic Arts’ big Need For Speed reveal. You can join the live-chat in the embedded live-stream that is posted above! What are you hoping to hear in EA’s NFS announcement? Let us know in the comments below.
