Former Charmed star and avid cancel culture supporter Alyssa Milano says she didn’t blackface but Alexndria Ocasio-Cortez disagrees.
Alyssa Milano has been a vocal supporter for the Black Lives Matter movement and cancel culture. Although she isn’t participating in the protests she is showing her activism on Twitter by doing her job calling out racists. But now she’s on the receiving end.
The Weinstein-made c-list celebrity actress has recently been accused of racism for a blackface skit she did for a Jersey Shore skit she did for Funny or Die.
The Funny or Die clip shows Alyssa Milano with heavily tanned mocking Jersey Shore star Snooki. When the 47-year-old actress was called out for the blackface by LifeZette she vehemently denied that she was racist, and ultimately blamed Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump for weaponizing cancel culture.
“Cancel culture is being weaponized by the right/Putin. Take notice of who they are targeting & what is trending. Are they trying to hurt Trump’s most vocal critics? Yup. The misinformation campaign has begun. Be vigilant in what you post on social media. Truth still matters,” Alyssa Milano tweeted.

Despite once being a proud participant in cancel culture, Milano’s views on the left-wing phenomena quickly changed when the sights were set on her.
Milano added: “Hey, assholes. The below picture is me parodying Jersey Shore and Snookie’s tan. Snookie’s tan (she is a sweetheart by the way) is worthy of parodying as is Trump’s “tan”. So go f**k yourselves with your smear campaign.”
Did Alyssa Milano really blackface?
It really depends on who you ask, but according to her close politician friend Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, yes, she did.
Nicole Elizabeth “Snooki” Polizzi was born in Santiago, Chile, and was adopted by an American family, of Italian heritage. Her skin is natural dark as she is an indigenous Chilean Latina.
During an interview with Telemundo, AOC was asked, “What do you think the Latinx community should do to stop racism among them and among other races?”

“A lot of times I’ll hear people say, ‘OK, this is about Black Lives Matter, what about Latinos?’ and I always say, Latinos are black!” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez replied.
So, yes, Alyssa Milano did blackface. She deliberately made her skin darker to mock a person of another race. However, the real question should be this; is blackface racist?
Sadly there is no conversation about why blackface is racist. Context does not seem to matter at the moment. Many shows, movies, and even celebrities are being cancelled for lighthearted comedy sketches where they portray other races.
