Today is the 6th year anniversary of the death of beloved comedian and actor Robin Williams, and it’s “too much” for his daughter, Zelda, to bare.

Zelda was 25-years-old when her father tragically took his own life at his home in Paradise Cay, California.

Robin Williams was said to suffering from “diffuse Lewy body dementia” at the time of his death. His widowed wife described the disease as “the terrorist inside my husband’s brain.”

She also revealed that in the year before his death Williams had experienced a sudden and prolonged spike in fear and anxiety, depression, and insomnia, which worsened in severity to include memory loss, paranoia, and delusions. Medical experts struggled to determine a cause, and eventually diagnosed him with Parkinson’s disease

Zelda Williams sends out emotional statement on before her father’s death anniversary.

It has now been 6 years since the world lost one of the greatest comedians ever, and the person feeling it the most is his biological daughter, Zelda Williams.

This morning she took to Twitter to tell her fans that she’d be taking a break from social media during her father’s death anniversary explaining “it’s simply too much.”

“Tomorrow is dad’s death anniversary. As always, I will not be here,” Zelda wrote.

“It’s hard for me on regular, good days to remain the person expected to graciously accept the world’s need to share their memories of him and express their condolences for his loss. As I’ve said in the past, while I’m constantly touched by all your continued boundless love for him, some days it can feel like being seen at a roadshow memorial — a place, not a person — where people drive past to leave their sentiments to then go about their days comforted their love for him was witnessed,” she added.

“But sometimes, that leaves me emotionally buried under a pile of other’s memories instead of my own. After all, even roses by the truckloads still weigh a ton.”

She continued: “Tomorrow, it’s simply too much.”

Zelda revealed that she would be taking a break from social media but encouraged people who miss her father to turn to her post to feel close to him and urged people who are struggling with depression and anxiety to reach out and get help.

“Whoever needs to hear it, please use this post as your signpost in the desert. Reach out. Seek help. Keep fighting,” she concluded.
