Something almost unprecedented has happened in Asmongold’s latest videos: his hair has movement. It has volume. It looks clean, soft and suspiciously familiar with the concept of conditioner.
The Asmongold hair transformation is not dramatic enough to demand a salon reveal, but it is difficult to miss. In a recent Asmongold TV video with Kaise, his long hair sits more smoothly around his face and appears considerably fuller. This is still Asmon—not a shampoo-commercial body double—but the Roach King is looking positively conditioned.
We cannot prove Kaise marched him into a bathroom and introduced the two bottles. Still, viewers were already commenting that his hair appeared washed when he returned to streaming on August 20, while others noticed cleaner surroundings and an unusually respectable shirt. Sometimes the “girlfriend effect” is a new wardrobe. Sometimes it is simply learning that the second bottle is not decorative.

The girlfriend effect may have reached Asmongold’s scalp
Kaise is a Canadian Twitch creator best known for Just Chatting streams, games and collaborative broadcasts. She and Asmongold first became publicly close during streams in late 2023 and early 2024, then reappeared together in a much bigger way this July.
Kaise travelled from Canada to stay with Asmongold in Austin, and the pair have now confirmed what their hand-holding had already made fairly obvious. In an August 29 stream clip, a viewer asked Kaise how it felt to “date a racist.” She deadpanned that she loved it, leaving Asmongold speechless for a beat. The joke was cheeky; the relationship wording was unambiguous.
Their history is not brand new. A profile of Kaise and Asmongold’s earlier collaborations traces their on-stream chemistry to late 2023 and early 2024. During the July visit, they streamed fast-food rankings and cooked together before the relationship became explicit.
Kaise also reportedly described his home as “contaminated” and encouraged him to clean, shower more and cut his hair shorter. The haircut has not materialised, but the rest may be loading in stages. Even fans on Asmongold’s own subreddit have been joking that she made him eat a salad and could have him drinking water next.
That is the charming part. This does not look like a woman rebuilding a man for television. It looks like two people enjoying each other while one gently points out that guests prefer floors they can see.
Shampoo and conditioner really can do that
There is also a boringly plausible explanation for the extra body in Asmongold’s hair: basic hair care works. Shampoo removes excess oil, dead skin and product build-up from the scalp. Conditioner smooths and moisturises the strands, making them easier to manage.
The American Academy of Dermatology says conditioner coats hair and can reduce breakage and split ends. Its dermatologists also explain that leave-in conditioner may reduce frizz and add shine or volume, while lighter volumising products can make fine hair appear fuller without weighing it down.
That does not mean shampoo regrows lost hair or reverses male-pattern thinning. It can, however, stop existing strands clumping together under oil, tame flyaways and make everything look healthier. For a man who can afford specialist treatment but historically treats self-care like an optional side quest, a supermarket bottle may be the funniest possible upgrade.
Creator routines are strange things. We have written about the lifestyle changes that come with full-time streaming, yet enormous success can also let somebody preserve habits that ordinary flatmates would veto by Tuesday.
A nicer pillow for two
Asmongold has spent years with little incentive to care whether his hair smelled like flowers, cedarwood or yesterday’s headset session. His audience accepted the cave. His fortune certainly did not demand change; money can fund any routine, including a truly heroic delivery habit.
Sharing space changes the calculation. When Kaise makes the trip from Canada, she may reasonably want the pillows smelling more like shampoo than sweat—and apparently that modest request can go a very long way.
Most importantly, his hair looks great and they look happy together. Asmon does not need a ruthless makeover, a shaved head or a laboratory-grown mane. If this really is the Kaise effect, it is refreshingly small: a cleaner room, a little conditioner and somebody worth making the effort for.
