She continued: “I would love to maybe consider flipping that seat blue […] It’s going to take someone with, I think, name recognition and deep pockets to be able to run against McClintock, and so I’m considering it. I’m basically gathering information right now, speaking to different consultants, speaking to the community.”

Milano, who is rumoured to reprise her role as Phoebe Halliwell in a Charmed (2022) Netflix movie reboot, says she will announce her decision after the 2022 midterm elections.

Her interest in politics has been noted by fans and critics alike and the general consensus seems to be that this is a terrible idea.

“What you are seeing in this stream is largely personality based answers, not based on governance experience, because you have none. We all love and admire you and are grateful for your RESISTANCE work, but that does not qualify you for Congress. I’m telling you the truth, not just fangirling out,” a self professed artist-author-artisan and fierce RESIST activist.

The Resistance (also known as the #Resistance) began as an American liberal political movement that protests the presidency of Donald Trump. It was established as a grassroots movement on January 19, 2017, and has since grown to include not only Democrats, but Independents and Republicans against Trump.

Others are calling Milano out for her hypocrisy for previously calling Trump out about his leadership skills and questioning his political experience and saying “there is not a leadership bone in his body.”

Others have questioned Milano’s capabilities of being rational and level headed after her many drunk and emotional emotional Twitter live streams. The middle-age actress compared living in Trump’s USA to living under Adolf Hitler. She later doubled down on her drunken comments by tweeting a picture comparing Vice President Mike Pence to German Nazi officer Henrich Himmler.

Alyssa Milano has continued to show interest in joining congress in 2024 by retweeting those who do show support and agree with her. However, she has not responded to any people who disagree with her decision to become a career politician.
