A viral TikTok video shows that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are listed as cast for Spider-Man: No Way Home on the Cineplex website?
Is someone getting fired or is this just a prank? Cineplex site allegedly listed Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the cast for the highly anticipated conclusion Spider-Man: No Way Home.

According to a video uploaded to TikTok by user @stay_off_my_lawn, someone at Cineplex may have made a career-ending error by accidentally spoiling Spider-Man: No Way Home and listing former Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as cast members on the film’s page.
The rumour that Tobey and Andrew would co-star with Tom Holland in the final Disney/Marvel Spider-Man film began the day Sony and Marvel Studios agreed to a cross-universe film. The Sony/Marvel deal initially fell apart after producer Kevin Feige insisted on Sony cutting a Spider-Man cameo scene from Tom Hardy’s Venom. Fortunately, after extensive negotiations, Sony agreed to allow Tom Holland to reprise his role as Spider-Man for one final Marvel film.

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were also in New York at the time of the rumour, filming Spider-Man: No Way Home.
However, @stay_off my lawn of TikTok believes he has proof that Tobey and Andrew will appear in Tom Holland’s upcoming Spider-Man film. On November 29th, the user uploaded a video to his TikTok confirming that the two actors were cast on the official Spider-Man: No Way Home page on the Cineplex website. Attempting to access the Cineplex website at this time will result in a “Access Denied” error, indicating that the site is either unavailable or experiencing technical difficulties.
Did Disney/Marvel punish Cineplex?
While it may seem strange that the Cineplex website is completely unavailable following the TikTok video, it is highly improbable that this has anything to do with Disney. It’s more likely that the website crashed as a result of the increased traffic following the video’s viral success and reaching 3.5 million views. This type of error frequently occurs when a website reaches the limit of its available bandwidth.
Additionally, an archived version of the website reveals that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were never mentioned on the page, at least on November 29th. What’s strange is that Tom Holland appears twice. Is Tom Hardy supposed to be in that?
An insider told POPTOPIC that the Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will versus Tom Hardy’s Venom in the next big feature film, so maybe it is an actual typo.
Are Tobey and Andrew in Spider-Man?
Although no official confirmation has been made, we are confident that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will co-star in Spider-Man: No Way Home in some capacity. Tom Holland nearly spoiled the film when he discussed three specific scenes that made him emotional and nostalgic.
For the time being, all we can do is wait and see. Spider-Man: No Way Home opens in theatres worldwide on Friday, December 17th.
