“You dumb cracker bitch!” HasanAbi, former host of The Young Turks, has been temporarily banned from Twitch for using a racial slur.
Hasan Doan Piker, better known as HasanAbi on Twitch, received a temporary ban after repeatedly using the slur “cracker” when talking about white Christian people. He responded by claiming “white fragility” was the reason for his suspension.

HasanAbi is known for his far-left political takes and engaging in debates with his viewers, and he likes to ruffle the feathers of his conservative opponents. His anti-American views are well known throughout the community. Hasan Piker has praised Islam for the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001.
Hasan boasted during a livestream in which he also mocked a conservative pundit, Dan Cranshaw, who lost an eye during his third deployment to Afghanistan’s Helmand Province in 2012 after being struck by an IED explosion.

Piker also advocated for the deplatforming of former YouTuber LeafyIsHere for his casual use of the N-word during his live stream.
“Doesn’t this kid say the N-word all the time?” Piker stated this after accusing Leafy of harassing and threatening Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, a middle-eastern Twitch streamer, during one of his live streams.
Leafy, real name Calvin Lee Vail, was permanently banned from all platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter, shortly after Hasan Piker accused him of being racist for making fun of Pokimane. But now the tables have turned…
Piker’s devisive antics during live streams have sparked some heated discussions in his chat, and the Twitch streamer was exposed in a by one of his colleagues telling his moderators to “ban the crackers.”
Fans began poring over vods of his previous streams and documenting how frequently he used hateful terms and slurs to mock people he disliked. The discussion was eventually moved to the extremely popular LivestreamFail subreddit. Hasan Piker became aware of the Reddit thread documenting his use of slurs and responded by calling the original poster a “dumb cracker bitch.”
HasanAbi, or rather Piker, was then temporarily suspended by Twitch for harassment and hate speech.
Hasan responded to the backlash of his use of the racist slur by saying, “I don’t think it’s as harmful as actual bigoted hateful slurs, and my goal is to ultimately shake people’s white fragility and to get the focus away from white identity politics.”
Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker’s Twitch ban is only temporary and he will continue his scheduled stream events with his friends.
