Instagram are now blocking all posts that use pro-Trump hashtags leading up to the election to “stop the spread of false information.”
Americans need to be more concerned with Big Tech meddling with U.S elections than they are with Russia. Big Tech has gone Orwellian and is now dictating what is “safe” news.
This shocking Instagram news comes only day after Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey had to answer to the senate about his blatant censorship of negative Joe Biden news.
Texan Senator, Ted Cruz, grilled Jack Dorsey during the hearing yesterday, saying, “Mr. Dorsey, who the hell elected you and put you in charge of what the media are allowed to report, and what the American people are allowed to hear?”
He continued: “Why do you persist in behaving as a Democratic super PAC, silencing views to the contrary of your political beliefs?”
The same question now needs to be asked of the owners of Facebook/Instagram.
The Facebook owned photo and video sharing social network has never censored any negative Donald J Trump memes and other information, no matter how untrue or damaging. They did not stop the spread of fake “Russian Collusion” news during the 2016 election which makes it seem that they are trying to supress the spread of the Biden laptop leaks.
Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and now Instagram are actively censoring videos that merely discuss the content of the laptop. And now that Hunter Biden and his associates (most likely his father Joe) are officially under investigation for corruption by the FBI, big tech is working overtime to ensure the story does not go viral.
The #TRUMP hashtag censorship apparently only affects US citizens. Perhaps one of the other reasons Instagram decided to block #TRUMP is because it clearly shows just how much more popular Trump is on their platform.
The biggest democrat hashtag is #BIDEN2020 and it only has 421,561 posts while #TRUMP has a whopping 15,614,128 posts. It kind of reflects what we’ve been seeing at the rallies.
Many are accusing the tech giant of engaging in election interference and are demanding that Facebook/Instagram answer for themselves.
Senate Republicans have called on Twitter and Facebook to testify about their blatant censorship and announced that they are currently working on a subpoena.
