The 27-year-old former Married at First Sight Star recently moved to Manchester, England, to be with her — then — English boyfriend and podcaster Connor Thompson.

Just eight days after moving in with him in his Manchester home, Jessika Power broke up with him to become a celebrity dating show, Celebs Go Dating.

Knowing how much it is to book Jessika Power for a small interview, we decided to take advantage of the opportunity and try to get a few words in during her Instagram live on Australia Day.

POPTOPIC received a tip that Network Ten’s The Bachelorrete had turned down an application from Jessika Power, and although she remained tight-lipped on that, she had plenty of other things to say.

When one Aussie fan wished her a “happy Australia Day,” Jessika Power cringed and said that she does not celebrate the beloved Australian national holiday.

“People who celebrate Australia Day are celebrating the r*pe and m*rder of the black Australian people,” she opined, forgetting the term for indigenous Australian people.

“It’s sick and disgusting and any body who celebrates it with their friends and family should be ashamed,” she added.

Power demanded that the Australian government change the official date of Australia Day which is January 6 and commemorates landing of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove and raising of the Union Flag by Arthur Phillip following days of exploration of Port Jackson in New South Wales.

However, she also admitted that even if the government would officially change the date of Australia Day that she had no interest in ever returning to the country.

“I’m never coming back,” Power said, expressing that she didn’t feel or identify as Australian. “Manchester, England, is my home; the people here are hotter and there are plenty of more business opportunities.”
