USA telecom companies have confirmed that a VPN is not enough to bypass the TikTok ban. This is what you need if you want to use the app.
All USA sim cards have completely blocked from accessing the TikTok application post-ban. If you live in America and absolutely need to use the app, you will need the following things to get it to work.

STEP 1: Remove your USA-based sim card.
Your sim card is region locked, that means that banned apps like TikTok and WeChat will not work on them. However, there is a simple, albeit annoying, solution to this. Just remove the card from the phone.
Once you’ve removed the sim card from your phone you’ll need a good VPN to trick your phone into thinking it is outside of the USA.
STEP 2: Sign up for a premium VPN.

STEP 3: Create a non-USA store account.
You will need to have completed step 2 in order to activate a AppStore or Play Store account in another region.

STEP 4: Download TikTok from the foreign store account.
