Amber Heard allegedly has not been contacted about Aquaman 2

Date:

Rumour has it that Warner Bros have not officially contacted Amber Heard in regards to her role as Mera in Aquaman 2.

Is Amber Heard returning as Mera in Aquaman 2? According to our sources, nobody knows not even she. Warner Bros have been very silent on anything related to superhero sequel starring Jason Momoa.

A source connected to Warner Bros claims that Amber Heard has not heard anything from Warner Bros regarding her role as Mera in Aquaman 2. Has Depp’s ex burnt her bridges or are Warner Bros just getting cold feet regarding the sequel?

Although evidence seems to suggest that Warner Bros may be ready to pull the plug on Aquaman 2, it appears that the studio still have plans to film the sequel this summer. Amber Heard seems to be excited about the sequel as she’s been borderline abusing the #Aquaman2 hashtag.

In a recent interview with Drew Barrymore to discuss his water company Mananalu Pure Water, Jason Momoa said that he will be “flying out to film Aquaman 2 in July”. I guess this confirms that a sequel is on its way, but Amber Heard has not yet been confirmed.

Last month Amber Heard posted a picture of herself working out on Instagram with the caption, “Alexa play ‘Pussy Talk’ by City Girls,” claiming that she was preparing for her role as Mera in Aquaman 2. It was later confirmed that the picture was actually from her 2017 workout session for the original film. Since then she has continued to old post pictures of herself doing Aquaman work.

As it turns out Amber Heard may merely be signalling her interest and excitement to resume the role as Merina in the sequel but she’s not confirmed.

“I think she’s fighting hard to get back in. As far as I know Warner Bros have not confirmed, let alone contacted her, for that role,” the source said.

“With all the negative press I truly believe that AH is just desperately trying to connect herself with the production to boost her chances of getting called back,” they added.

Warner Bros may be distancing themselves from the actress for the time being while she’s reportedly being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department and FBI for submitting false testimony. Additionally, the recently turned 35-year-old actress is also being investigated for committing perjury here in Australia and will most likely face a 3 year re-entry ban.

Currently the only source that claims she is returning as Mera in Aquaman 2 is Amber Heard herself. Several news publication and blogs have used her fake workout picture as evidence that she has been cast for the sequel. Warner Bros have not yet confirmed nor denied her involvement in the film.

Aquaman 2, starring Jason Momoa, is set to start filming this July and is still slated for a December, 2022 worldwide cinematic release.
