Leaked photos give us a first glimpse at Jim Carrey as The Mask as well as Jared Leto’s Joker and Pennywise in the upcoming Space Jam sequel.
It looks like Warner Bros. are extending the Space Jam universe to include more of their intellectual properties. So far we’ve spotted Jared Leto’s Joker and the creepiest clown ever, Pennywise from IT.
But what fans are most excited for is that Jim Carrey is returning as the cult classic comic book character The Mask.

Whispers of The Mask getting a proper sequel (let’s forget the other two even exist) with Jim Carrey returning for the iconic role were spreading late last year. Although the film hasn’t been officially confirmed, Jim Carrey will be reprising the role… just not in The Mask.
Jim Carrey has been reclaiming his spotlight in Hollywood with his Showtime original series Kidding and his most recent role as nostalgia inducing videogame villain Dr. Robotnik aka Eggman in Sonic the Hedgehog. Many have praised him for his performance as the eccentric scientist and are happy to see him kick butt in Hollywood once more.
Carrey is rumoured to be reprising two classic roles in the coming years; Ace Ventura and The Mask. However, Jim Carrey may only be playing The Mask as a cameo in the upcoming Space Jam 2 movies.
First look at Jim Carrey as The Mask in Space Jam 2
The photos first appeared on Pop Culture Leftovers Twitter page and reveal Jim Carrey as The Mask in Space Jam 2 seemingly as a game official.
Another photo shows Jared Leto as the Joker from The Suicide Squad and the latest version of Pennywise from IT hinting that Space Jam may use other Warner Bros properties outside of the Loony Tunes universe.
Could this mean that we will also see Harry Potter or Harley Quinn in Space Jam 2? I guess we’ll have to wait until 15th of July, 2021 to find out!
