Date:

The Kansas City Chiefs, fan favorites and predicted winner of the Super Bowl last season, secured their victory against the Philadelphia Eagles two months ago.

Unfortunately, now that the NFL season has ended, it just leaves NFL fans in a state of limbo while we await the start of the new season. On the other hand, this makes it the perfect time to begin to map out the potential matchups for the 2023-2024 season and the new Super Bowl winner.

The NFL is one of the most popular sports leagues in the world, with fans as far-reaching as Australia. Aussies are lovers of sports and support teams both at home and abroad. The large following of NFL fans in the country are looking forward to the 2023-2024 NFL season and anticipating the return of the Kansas City Chiefs, a team also favored in Kansas.

Australia does have its own football league, the Australian Football League (AFL), which shares some similarities with that of America.

This being their third Super Bowl title, the Chiefs are riding high off their win and the support from their fans, hoping to win a consecutive championship at the next Super Bowl. Already, they are renowned for repeatedly securing victory in the AFC West division since 2016, hence it’s a reasonable assumption that they will be our 2024 AFC West winners. Of course, if you’re a Chiefs fan looking to place bets on the upcoming NFL season through Caesars Sportsbook Kansas, you’re almost guaranteed to gain some good returns.

Under the steady guidance of Andy Reid and the consistent athletics of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, this team’s name might as well be permanently inscribed as AFC champions. Potential division contenders may include the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos.

The Chargers now have Kellen Moore as a defensive coordinator plus powerhouse quarterback Justin Herbert, so they’re sure to climb up the ranks fairly quickly as the season progresses. The Broncos had a tough run last season, but the pairing of Russell Wilson with Sean Payton could produce favorable results.

In the AFC North, the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to claim the title. Thanks to their trio of Tee Higgins, JaMarr Chase, and Joe Burrow, the Bengals are truly a force to be reckoned with. Coach Zac Taylor has already proven the value of his leadership by guiding the team to two consecutive AFC Championships, hence this should be familiar territory.

In the south, the AFC Champions are expected to be the Jacksonville Jaguars. Their recent acquisition of coach Doug Pederson has made a significant difference in improving their performance. The Jaguars won their division last year and with the return of Calvin Ridley, we should see even more progress into the new season. AFC East Champions can go two ways: to the Miami Dolphins with star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa or to the Buffalo Bills who just missed the mark last season.

The NFC West Championships will most likely go to the San Francisco 49ers as their defense and offense seem to be solid, they’re probably en route to their second division win this season. In the East, though they came close to securing a Super Bowl victory, the Philadelphia Eagles are not expected to perform at their best this season. This comes as a result of losing two coordinators in a single season. Instead, the Dallas Cowboys will most likely be the winners in their division, as long as they deliver.

The NFC North Championships are predicted to go to the Detroit Lions. They held a winning record last year and are expected to continue to improve as long as they play with the same ferocity. Lastly, with what is the most unpredictable, and arguably the worst-performing division in the NFL, the NFC South could be claimed by the New Orleans Saints as they have the best quarterback in the division. This may be the factor that gives them an edge over the competition.

With that said, next year’s Super Bowl winners will most likely be Kansas City, who already appear to be the favorites, according to the latest Super Bowl odds. Mahomes has been paving the way for the team since last season and it doesn’t seem like he’ll be letting up anytime soon.

Kansas City is sure to have a strong run for the upcoming season. As long as they continue to improve, they will have a straight shot at the finals.
