Joker 2 might line itself up perfectly with Joaquin Phoenix’s political ideology. The actor reportedly wants the movie to ‘spread a message.’

Joaquin Phoenix was praised for his portrayal of the DC villain and his spine chilling performance earned him an Oscar for best actor.

Fans were thrilled to see Jaoquin Phoenix take over as the Joker after Jared Leto’s punk rocker version.

Leto had very little screen time as the Joker in the DC Cinematic Universe where he debuted his controversial Joker briefly in The Suicide Squad where his better half, Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie, stole the spotlight.

Sadly it seems as though Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker may also disappoint viewers if the actor gets his way.

Phoenix has spent his pare time protesting climate change, animal rights, and the patriarchy… and he reportedly wants to these messages to a part of the Joker 2.

Joaquin Phoenix even made an appeal to Gov. Andrew Cuomo to release New York’s prisoners during the coronavirus pandemic.

“The spread of coronavirus in prisons threatens the health and safety of all of us,” the Joker actor said in his video.

“When you’re incarcerated, there’s no such thing as social distancing, and ensuring good hygiene is not an option. I’m calling on Governor Andrew Cuomo to take action in New York by granting clemency to New.”

Phoenix and Todd Philips

Others think Joaquin Phoenix is maybe still in character, which would mean that the new Joker is going to be an activist as well. This wouldn’t be the first time that the actor would have fooled the world with his acting talents.

During the production of Casey Afleck’s I’m Still Here, Phoenix had the entire world convinced that he was having a mental breakdown. Some people, even today, think that the actor was actually having a mental breakdown and they played it off as a hoax.

Perhaps there is some proof the the allegations that Phoenix wasn’t acting in I’m Still Here and that the 45-year-old actor actually wanted to pursue a career as a rap artist.

The Post Millennial wrote an article detailing Phoenix’s demise after his performance as the mentally disturbed failed comedian suggesting that, perhaps, he’s a mentally disturbed individual.

Ultimately it’s Todd Phillips brain-baby and he has previously spoken out against ‘woke culture’ so there is still hope for the sequel.
