Cult classic comedy Little Britain cancelled for ‘racist’ blackface sketch

Date:

The over-the-top satirical cult classic comedy show, Little Britain, has been completely banned at the demand of BLM activist for a blackface skit.  BBC iPlayer, Netflix and BritBox have completely pulled the show.

Matt Lucas and David Walliams were called racist and their cult classic British sketch show Little Britain has been completely cancelled in the United Kingdom by black rights activist after a Tweet went viral showing the actors in ‘blackface’ in a comedy skit.

NEWS: Seth Rogen doesn’t want white people to watch his movies.

Their other show ‘Come Fly With Me’ has also been cancelled even though it did not do a ‘blackface’ comedy bit.

The Daily Mail confirmed that the BBC and Britbox removed Little Britain from their catalogue this Monday and told them that “times have changed” and that show is no longer suitable for modern viewing.

“There’s a lot of historical programming available on BBC iPlayer, which we regularly review,” a BBC spokesperson said.

“Times have changed since Little Britain first aired so it is not currently available on BBC iPlayer.”

A Little Britain reboot was in the works at Netflix, but all plans for the show’s future have been completely cancelled due to ‘racism’.

Netflix has not yet stated a reason for the remove — however — confirmed that they will not be making a Little Britain reboot.

In contrary to a statement made by the Matt Lucas, Netflix asserted that they had no interest in making a reboot.

“We were not in active conversations about reviving the show,” a spokesman said.

Earlier this year, Lucas said he and Williams would “love to bring it back in some way and at some point”, and claimed that they already had a conversation with Netflix.

He suggested a Little Britain stage show could be one option, adding: “It will come back in some form, we’re just still figuring out what that will be.”

However, Netflix have now completely washed their hands off it and don’t want anything to do with the show.

Little Britain first premiered in 2003 and ran for four consecutive seasons until 2008.
