Gina Carano may have been de-personed by Hollywood for her political opinion but she is making waves on social media with her very “sensitive content”.
The former MMA star turned actress and model may have rubbed Hollywood liberals the wrong way with her wrong-think, but we’re pretty sure her fans are rubbed the right way with her latest “sensitive content” post on Twitter.
Gina Carano was climbing the celebrity ranks rapidly since she retired from MMA in 2009. She had bagged major roles in some top tier movies like Deadpool and Fast and The Furious 6. But it is her role as Cara Dune in the Disney Plus exclusive Star Wars series The Mandalorian that most people know her for.
Sadly, Gina Carano was unfairly fired from The Mandalorian because of her political opinion. A Lucasfilm spokesman told Variety, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.”
“Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable,” the spokesman added.
Gina Carano’s bigcrime was that she was a vocal Trump supporter, conservative, and a devout Christian. However, the spokesperson blames her firing on a single tweet she made where she compared being a Trump supporting conservative in Hollywood like being a Jewish person during the Nazi Germany era.
This is not the first time a conservative actor has made a similar analogy. In 2017 Tim Allen appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was about his invitation to Trump’s inauguration. Tim Allen answered, “Yeah. I went to the inauguration.”
Jimmy Kimmel’s reaction to Tim’s answer made him add, “You got to be real careful around here. You might get beat up. If you don’t believe what everybody believes, I don’t know, it is kind of like 30s Germany.”
Despite being fired from The Mandalorian and pretty much depersoned by Hollywood Gina Carano continues to crush it online. Her social media accounts are growing exponential by the days and understandably so. Despite the backlash, Gina continues to speak her mind.
