New Jackass film confirmed for 2021 with Knoxville and original cast

Date:

Paramount announced that they have plans for a new “Jackass” film in late 2021, and it looks like the original cast is returning.

Knoxville, Steve-O, Margera and the rest of those wild boys really shook things up in the early noughties with their hit MTV reality TV series, later turned blockbuster movie, Jackass. Well, it looks like gang is ready to shake things up once again for their last hurrah!

Paramount may have had to delay some highly anticipated film sequels due to the state of things, but it’s not all bad news.

The release dates for A Quiet Place Part 2 and Top Gun: Maverick were both pushed back 6 months, Paramount announced Thursday night. A Quiet Place Part 2, starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, will now release in theatres on April 23, 2021, instead of September 6, 2020. While Top Gun: Maverick, the highly anticipated sequel to Tom Cruise’s 1986 classic, will launch on July 2, 2021.

Variety Magazine reports: “We truly believe that there is no movie-viewing experience like the one enjoyed in theatres,” said Paramount’s president of domestic distribution Chris Aronson, and president of international theatrical distribution Mark Viane. “We are committed to the theatrical experience and our exhibition partners, and want to stress that we are confident that, when the time comes, audiences everywhere will once again enjoy the singular joy of seeing Paramount films on the big screen.”

Hidden in the Paramount press release was an announcement and an estimated premiere date for a fourth Jackass film.

One peculiar change spotted on Paramount’s release calendar was a the fourth, and most likely final, Jackass film. Jackass 4, according to the calendar, will hit theatres anywhere between July 2021 to September 3, 2021.

Jackass 4 (working title “Jackass”) is being produced by Spike Jonze (Her, Three Kings) and will reportedly star the the original cast: Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, and Bam Margera.

Fans are both excited to see Jackass gang return while curious just how this new movie will fair in today’s socially sensitive environment.

Another growing concern is the age and health of the original cast.

The original cast members of Jackass today are almost turning 50.

Johnny Knoxville, 49, is the oldest of the bunch but, aside from his greying and thinning hair, he still looks like he is in good shape. He’s still doing his own stunt work.

Steve-O looks amazing for 46-years-old, and he’s been through the most! He is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. He has been sober for well over nine years. He is also a role model for many drug and alcohol users seeking to turn their lives around.

What can we say about Chris “Party Boy” Pontius? He has always looked like an old man… but he’s also in great shape. The photo of him was taken in the jungle and he used the hashtag #Jackass4 which may be hint at one of their locations.

Bam Margera, 40-years old

Bam Magera, 40, looks old and out of shape but is skating again.

Then comes the youngest of the gang, Bam Margera, who is only 40-years-old. He used to be bit of a spunk in his hey-day but his partying lifestyle has done a number on him. He’s terribly out of shape, and looks like a creepier version of his dad.

Our sources tell us that, contrary to what IMBd states, most of Jackass 4 has already been shot and is now in post production. But there has been no verification of this, so far.

The new Jackass film is still slated for a 2021 release and it will most likely be their last film.
