The recent allegations against Percy Hynes White have been making waves in the media. The Canadian actor, known for his roles in The Gifted and The Expanse, has been accused of sexual assault and abuse by multiple women. These allegations include sexual assault, abuse, manipulation, and throwing parties where women were allegedly invited with the intention of getting them drunk and high enough to have sex with them.

Hynes was also a cast member of the Netflix hit show, Wednesday. An anonymous insider at Netflix recently revealed that Hynes had been fired by the streaming giant and would not star in the second season of Wednesday. The source stated that Netflix became aware of the allegations and conducted an internal investigation, but ultimately what led to Hynes’ firing was his conduct with female cast mates.

However, a representative for Netflix Australia has contacted us in regards to the anonymous insider source, claiming that they are not associated with them and that Netflix has not released a public statement regarding the actor. When we asked Netflix if they could confirm whether an internal investigation was happening on the allegations leveled against Percy, the representative said that Netflix had no comment.

It’s important to note that the authenticity of the video, which showed Percy Hynes White allegedly attempting to subtly grope the show’s star Jenna Ortega at a press event, has not been confirmed by either Ortega or Hynes. Neither of them have publicly commented on the incident.

The allegations against Hynes are serious, and they have been widely reported in the media. In addition to the allegations of sexual assault and abuse, the video has added fuel to the fire. While the authenticity of the video has not been confirmed, it does raise concerns about inappropriate behavior in the workplace.

It’s worth noting that the allegations against Hynes have not been proven, and it’s important to allow the legal process to take its course and to respect the privacy of all individuals involved. In the meantime, the allegations serve as a reminder of the importance of creating safe and inclusive workplaces, particularly in the entertainment industry, where power dynamics can often be uneven and abuse can go unchecked.

Update: Netflix refuse to comment on Percy White investigation

The #MeToo movement has brought to light the rampant sexual harassment and abuse that exists in Hollywood and the entertainment industry. It has brought about a cultural shift, where people are starting to speak up against abuse and harassment, and where victims are being believed and supported. However, it’s clear that there is still a long way to go.

The entertainment industry needs to take a hard look at itself and create safe and inclusive workplaces, where abuse and harassment are not tolerated. This means that there need to be clear policies and procedures in place to deal with these issues, and there needs to be accountability for those who perpetrate abuse and harassment.
