The Sony Vision-S car is the sexiest thing we’ve ever seen

Sony surprised us all with a prototype of the Vision-S car at CES, and it is the best looking car we have ever seen. We’re super excited for the future.

Tesla really paved the way for electric cars but now other tech giants want a piece of the pie and it looks like Sony are about to become the kinds of the automotive industry.

Sony have a reputation for building quality products. Their stuff has this signature looks to it that just screams class, and there’s no exception with their new concept car; the Vision-S.

People were blown away at CES when Sony unveiled the Vision-S; their futuristic concept car. This sexy beast is a spacious 4-door, all-wheel drive that boasts 200kW power at both front and rear tires totaling an impressive 400kW to get you from 0 to 100km in 4.7 seconds flat.

However, the people who plan on buying Sony’s Vision-S are not so much focused on power. Like with the Tesla, people will buy Sony’s car for its Eco-friendliness and, of course, the next-gen tech that’s packed into it, and the this car had top-notch advanced tech in spades… to the point where it makes the Tesla look like a child’s toy.

Vision-S interior features are crazy.

It is fitted with all of Sony’s latest technology, and features always-on connectivity. It is also equipped with 33 sensors, including CMOS, solid state lidar, radar and time-of-flight cameras which collectively form an advanced driver assistance suite called “Safety Cocoon”. Inside, a panoramic touchscreen is built into the dashboard, accompanied by Sony’s 360 Reality Audio. The Vision-S has a dual-motor setup with two 200 kW electric motors and all-wheel drive. Sony claims the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and the top speed is rated at 240 km/h (149 mph). A double wishbone suspension is used with an air spring system.

How much will the Sony Vision-S cost?

Nothing! Well, technically because Sony currently have no plans on mass producing this car. The car’s purpose was nearly to showcase the latest and greatest Sony tech all-the-while showing off their impeccable ability to design sexy looking products.

It seemed like more of an effort to impress other car manufacturers and an attempt to get them to use Sony tech in their cars. But that’s not to say that Sony won’t ever dip their feet in the waters of the automotive industry. There’s still hope.
