Grand Theft Auto 6 leak confirms “Bonnie and Clyde” theme, Vice setting, and is “really woke” according to alleged leaker.
Over an hour of pre-alpha footage of the Grand Theft Auto 6 [GTA 6] has been leaked online after Rockstar Games servers were hacked, and while the game looks super awesome the new game is “really woke” according to the alleged leak(er).

Rockstar Games issued a statement via Twitter regarding a “unauthorised network intrusion” which resulted in confidential game files from their highly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto 6 [stylised as Grand Theft Auto VI] being stolen and leaked online.
“We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorised third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development from the next Grand Theft Auto.
“At this time we do not anticipate any disruptions to our live game services [Grand Theft Auto Online] nor any long-term effects on the development of our ongoing projects.
The tweet which has now received a close to 1 million likes also expressed the team’s disappointment in the Grand Theft Auto 6 leak, but was met with overwhelming support from the gaming community.
However, some gamers with a certain political view may not be too happy with some of the alleged changes being made to the series — according to the alleged leaker GTA6 is “really woke.”
“It’s clear that this build is from late 2019 to 2022. It’s very recent because it makes references to political events that took place over the last three years, and it pains me to say that the game is really woke,” the alleged leaker claimed.
“Lucia the game’s female protagonist is the clear leader in GTA6. She calls the shots, she’s the smart one, and it seems as though the main story really revolves around her.
“She’s a Latina, I assume that she’s from Mexico, and NPCs will often use slurs against her and tell her to go back to the country she came from. There’s even subtle references to the 46th president of the USA.
“Jason, the male protagonist, is your typical southern beer-chugging and gun-toting redneck. He even wears a red MAGA like cap. His friends are mostly racist rednecks but he starts to open his eyes after meeting Lucia.”
The alleged leaker even says that the game mocks anti-vax “science deniers.”
“One of Jason’s friends is hinted to be a QAnon supporter. He believes that there is a shadow government that is run by ‘alien lizard people’ and he also thinks that the government are using vaccines to control people. You’ll find him dead later in the game from getting sick from an undisclosed virus.”
While POPTOPIC cannot confirm these claims, we did see footage of one of Jason’s friends talking outrageous conspiracy theories like how “Finland doesn’t exist.”
By the look of the leaked development footage Grand Theft Auto 6 is still at least 2 years away from release. There’s still a lot of missing content, including dialog, textures, buildings, and other things. So, there is a good chance that the “woke” content may be completely cut by the time the game releases.
